An English actor, comedian, and screenwriter born in 1955. He is most famous for his work on the sitcom Mr. Bean, along with satirical sketch comedy show Not the Nine O'Clock News, and the sitcoms Blackadder and The Thin Blue Line.
He has been listed in The Observer as one of the 50 funniest actors in British comedy and amongst the top 50 comedians ever.[03]

J. K. Rowling
The highest mountain in the British Isles. Standing at 1,344 metres above sea level, it is located at the western end of the Grampian Mountains in the Lochaber area of the Scottish Highlands, close to the town of Fort William.[05]
Ben Nevis
The longest river in the United Kingdom, at about 354 kilometres and the second longest in the British Isles, behind the River Shannon.[06]
River Severn

A self-governing British Crown Dependency, located in the Irish Sea between the islands of Great Britain and Ireland within the British Isles.

Isle of Man
A prehistoric monument in the English county of Wiltshire. It is the remains of a ring of standing stones set within earthworks.
Archaeologists believe it was built anywhere from 3000 BC to 2000 BC.[09]

Sometimes called "The Virgin Queen", "Gloriana" or "Good Queen Bess", she was the fifth and last monarch of the Tudor dynasty. The daughter of Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn.
Her era is famous for the flourishing of English drama, led by playwrights such as William Shakespeare and Christopher Marlowe, and for the seafaring prowess of English adventurers such as Sir Francis Drake.[10]
Elizabeth I of England
A battle between the Norman-French army of Duke William II of Normandy and the English army under King Harold II. It occured on 14 October 1066 during the Norman conquest of England.
Although there was further English resistance, this battle is seen as the point at which William gained control of England, becoming its first Norman ruler as King William I.[11]
Battle of Hastings
A Second World War air campaign waged by the German Air Force (Luftwaffe) against the United Kingdom during the summer and autumn of 1940. The objective of the campaign was to gain air superiority over the Royal Air Force (RAF).
It was the first major campaign to be fought entirely by air forces.[12]
Battle of Britain
The constitutional monarch of 16 sovereign states, known as the Commonwealth realms, and their territories and dependencies, and head of the 54-member Commonwealth of Nations.
Her reign is currently the second longest for a British monarch; only Queen Victoria has reigned longer at 63 years.[13]
Elizabeth II
The meeting place of the House of Commons and the House of Lords. It lies on the Middlesex bank of the River Thames in the City of Westminster, in central London.
